About WPC

The WPC is a volunteer club that serves our school community by providing support for educational, technological and recreational needs; promoting open communication among the administration, teachers and parents; and encouraging Westminster School spirit and pride through fun events and activities.

We hold three general membership meetings every school year, in September, January and May. All parents and guardians of Westminster School and Griffin Academy students are invited to attend, and we provide free childcare and dinner for the kiddos during the meeting.
We typically start the evening with a brief social time so you can greet old friends and make some new ones, then we proceed to the business portion of the meeting. In addition to discussing our annual events and fundraising projects, we often welcome members of the administration to speak to the parents about important issues concerning the school. From time to time, we invite speakers to present on topics of interest to parents. We love to end the evening by raffling off a prize – whether it’s tickets to sports games or weeks at Camp Griffin, everyone present has a chance to win!

How We Do It

Each year, the WPC asks every Westminster family to pay an Activity Fee of $60.00. We use the fees to defray the costs of offering our Annual Events. The fees also support other activities and projects of the WPC, including teacher support like the coffee service and breakfast on conference days, and the operational costs of fundraisers like the Uniform Store and the School Store.

How is this fee different from the Room Parents Activity Fee ?

The Room Parents fee are used only for your child’s grade, and provides for class parties like Halloween and Valentine’s Day, as well as gifts for the teachers following the class play. WCP funds are used for annual events for the entire school.
The WPC does not direct the activities of Room Parents, who operate under the auspices of the school itself
